PMUA offers a Senior Citizen Discount Program. If you are a Plainfield property owner, with an established residence in Plainfield and over age 65, you may be eligible to receive a 10% fee reduction off your PMUA sewer and solid waste service. To apply, you must submit a request form and required documentation which is needed to process your application. (Do not send original documents when submitting application). If you qualify, you will be notified through the mail and will receive a 10% discount on your quarterly fees. PMUA offers a Medical Disability Discount. If you are medically or permanently disabled you may qualify for a 10% discount on your residential sewer and solid waste rates. To qualify for this discount an application and proof of disability is required. Note that Senior Citizen and Medical Disability Discounts may not be combined for additional deductions to service rates. PMUA Offers Side-Yard Pick-Up for Disabled Residents. Does a disability prevent you from putting your trash cans out? If you are unable to carry your containers to the curb as a result of a disability, the PMUA can help you by offering Side-Yard Pick-Up.
