Clinton School Students Learn the 3 R’s of Recycling
PMUA recently held an assembly for 400 students at Clinton Elementary School where scholars learned the definition of separation and how that relates to our trash. Students were taught why they must separate recyclables and how easy it is to do just that by thinking before tossing.

The presentation was concluded with the PMUA created trash game, “Are you are recyclable?” 30 students were chosen, each was given a material and they had to line up next to the can that they thought the material should be discarded into. Visually this is very impactful because at the end of the game 25 students line up next to the blue cart and only five were next to the black cart. This clearly shows how much more trash should be recycled and separated.
