We invite all Plainfield families to the PMUA Eric C. Watson Memorial Environmental Fair on Saturday, September 8th at Library Park in Plainfield. Join us from 10:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. where the park will be transformed into a place of education and fun. While enjoying an extensive BBQ, Latino specialty foods, carnival snacks, and music, your family will be sure to participate in an entertaining day of learning.
This year our fair will feature over 30 environmentally themed exhibits including The Liberty Science Center of Jersey City, NJ. This activity will be among many engaging environmental programs providing an interactive informative experience. Geared for all ages, hands-on exhibits such as recycling, gardening, composting, wastewater management, science, eco-friendly art, astronomy, and forestry will be highlighted. Additionally, our Plainfield Seniors will take part in activities and games, including several rounds of Bingo.
In keeping with tradition, the day will kick off with a ceremony honoring students who won the PMUA’s annual recycle contests, Go Green and From Trash to Treasure. Being recognized for their efforts, the winning projects will also be on display. Moreover, you will have an opportunity to hear our local, county and state dignitaries speak about coming together to reduce carbon footprints.
Mark your calendar! All are invited Saturday, September 8th to the 2018 Eric C. Watson Memorial Environmental Fair. On behalf of the entire PMUA organization, we look forward to celebrating with you during this day of giving and community unity.
