Solid Waste

The Solid Waste Department is responsible for the daily collection, transport and disposal of household garbage and recyclables. It is a dedicated team located at the renovated PERC (Plainfield Environmental Resource Center), Transfer Station located at 95 Rock Avenue.

PMUA Solid Waste Department provides for and protects the public safety, welfare, and health of City residents by assuring that solid waste, including bulky waste and recyclable materials generated within the boundaries of the City, are properly collected and disposed of in accordance with law.
