Recycling Rules
Co-mingled recyclables (go in blue cart- picture above)
These items include:
- Aluminum cans (i.e. soda cans)
- Glass containers (i.e. jars)
- Plastic containers (i.e. milk jugs, water and/or juice bottles)
- Cardboard containers( i.e. milk, juice, iced tea, chicken broth, egg beaters, juice boxes)
How to properly dispose of CO-MINGLED recyclables:
- Bottles, cans and other containers are to be rinsed thoroughly...
Paper
These items include:
- Cardboard boxes
- Newspaper
- Magazines
- Junk mail
- Writing/copy paper
How to properly dispose of PAPER recyclables:
- Cardboard should be broken down/flattened, tied into bundles...
- Newspapers should be tied into bundles...
- Other paper/junk mail should be stacked and placed in a brown paper bag...
Paper items should be placed at the curb on Wednesday, your assigned recycling collection day.
*All co-mingled materials should be placed into your blue recycling cart - loose, not in bags, and rolled to the curb for pick-up on Wednesday, recycling collection day.

Always remember...
NEVER PUT ANY RECYCLABLES IN THE BLACK CART.
- CO-MINGLED RECYCLABLES must go in your BLUE CART.
- PAPER RECYCLABLES are placed at the CURB
- DON'T put paper recyclables in the BLUE CART.
