About the fair

One of the ways PMUA gives back to the community is by hosting its Annual Environmental Fair.  On Saturday September 7th, 2013 (Rain-Date 9/14) Library Park in Plainfield will be transformed once again into an Environmental Wonderland from 11 am -3 pm.

Exhibitors from throughout the State will host tables filled with educational materials, hands on games and activities, and give presentations on how we can better take care of our environment. Additionally, there will be carnival type festivities, attractions & refreshments, Latino specialty foods and a BBQ for all to enjoy, free of charge.

Focusing on our Seniors, a tent dedicated to activities and materials which may be of interest will include an exercise class, a Mobile Health Screening Unit and Bingo to name just a few of the programs planned to educate and entertain Plainfield Seniors.

The day will kick off with a ceremony which includes the recognition of Plainfield children who won our Annual Recycle Contests. After the opening ceremony, residents can enjoy live music, activities and a chance to gain some knowledge on ways to lessen their carbon footprints. There is something for everybody… Don’t forget to mark your calendar for this wonderful event!
